Day 48 & 49 Monster #3 & REAL Candy Apples

I completely missed day 46 AND 47! I actually drew my monster out that night and actually went to sleep before 5 PM!!! I have been so tired the last few days. I finished the monster yesterday and I think he is my new favo!


Today I made candy apples as a surprise for my niece and nephew! I will drive them over to them later tonight! I could not choose a favorite photo so here are several.

(How come they have bubbles? Did I do something wrong?)

And....Penelope Ann and Atasha I think I did not send you your Christmas Tree Taffy earrings!!! I just found each packaged up in my PURSE!!!!! (that was the other surprise, sorry...I'll send them to you soon)

365 Day Challenge Day 48 Creation 30 Bulky Weight Crocheted Chenille Scarf

I can't sleep so I made myself useful. I am actually pleased with the way this came out. I've been holding on to this yarn for years.
72" long by 6" wide. I think the color was referred to as camel when I purchased it but it looks like light golden brown to me.

I actually fell asleep with this last night. It's raining every day here this week so I'm fighting off the migraine headaches. I just finished this one up. Do you think I should make 2 more monsters to go with the set?

I made these for yesterday's entry and completely forgot to post them here although I put them in the new store. Maybe I was ashamed :-) It's one of my PIF items.
And I am sorry to say that I put them there because I don't like them. Nothing is wrong with it though. *sigh*

Woody from Toy Story's Vest

It's almost finished. I ran out of lipcord for the armholes.

This is a special order for my friend's son. He is going to be Woody for Halloween and they couldn't get the vest in a store probably because we all waited so late to get stuff. So she asked me yesterday if I had time to do it. I didn't even measure her son but I know he is smaller than my son so I really hope it fits otherwise I'll be making another one.

Day 45 - a merging....hee hee

I have TONS of homework this week so I thought I'd start a sweat b/c I can do some homework, knit a row or two (repeat) so here's tonight's ♥ I bought this yarn last winter - its cheapo yarn but i love the color variegation :)

The first prototype from my sketches - im still in limbo about if I want a tie or not - i like the strapless look - but i dont know - i played with some yellow and red but nothing i liked - we'll see!

We'll just say somethings do not translate well! My favorite candy are Good and Plenty Licorice and I decided to try to make some earrings....which look like I'm promoting pill popping!

The second pair are pea pods and I thought that some day they may bring me luck but after making them I think they are U.G.L.Y.

I also worked on my first try at making lemon cane and it did not come out well either. Next time I'll let it freeze over night before rolling to reduce distortion?

These were among my favorite earrings. I love the Amber colored teardrop beads. I've made these before but they have been sold. A lady from Norway requested them today so I made 2 more.

I'm having a hard time focusing tonight. This took me way longer than it should and after ruining too much jewelry wire I had to put it down and just walk way. But it is supposed an earring before earrings wires. Maybe I'll just put in on my keys.

This morning I made the most beautiful bread dough.  I had to take a picture.



I made 3 loaves of bread with it.  Plain for sandwiches ~ not shown.  Garlic Basil to go with dinner tonight ~ on the right.  Then I stuffed last loaf with brown sugar and cinnamon for a sweet treat!

365 Day Challenge Day 40 Creation # 22 Blue Crackled Glass Cluster Earrings

Made with high shine rose earring wires, crackled glass beads and that larger glass bead in between the crackled bead confusion. They are 2" long


I was just too excited to sew. Aside from getting some fabric in the mail that I ordered, the ideas were just coming at me too fast and I ended up putting the cloth away and just making these. It was crazy. I really wanted to sew but I couldn't decide what I wanted to make! So we'll try again tomorrow.

This was a more recent trip. I got them both in one shot hehehe My arm was hurting from twisting it :-) because we took several of them that were not good.

Day 39 & 40

I've been trying to get a migraine to go away so I'm late posting. I took a 4 hour nap after work today and finally have some relief. I can't wait for this storm to pass through.

Day 39 I made another handbag.

Day 40 I coated the apples with another coat of varnish (they are still wet) and worked on a custom order for Atasha (pastel whirly pops, I'm not sure if these have enough sparkle so I may try to mix the colors again let me know what you think)

What day r we on? 40? Im clueless....LOL

Im totally still slacking...but I did make dinner ;) - That's more than I did last night XO

What a challenge this was. I thought I'd never finish. I have glue gun trigger finger pain and said glue gun died. I missed sewing for these few days. I even ordered some cloth online which will be here on Friday and I can't wait to create with it!

My daughter requested a bracelet with a lady bug on it. She wants me to make another one so that we can wear it together. Haven't made mine as of yet. Off to do more flowers and hopefully complete by night time.

I finally stepped away from those flowers for one night and did something fun! I have to ship tomorrow so I kinda had no choice but to do it last night hehehe


I tried something new and made a fabric & paper tag. I thought it was appropriate for the special occasion. I really hate sewing Minky. That blanket gave me so much trouble because once again the fabric stretched even though I only used the serger [Why Renee? Why? :-) ] and I spent a very long time fixing it. No more for me.
