Day 225 O+S Sailboat Skirt the Trio is Complete :D

I completed the Oliver+S Sailboat skirt tonight, size 2T. The trio for Bruce's nieces are complete. I can't wait to see the pictures. :)

The trio

This past couple of weeks has been the largest amount of sewing I've done (not small projects). I have to say that transitioning between each outfit I can see improvements. I'm also understanding things that I didn't maybe grasp the first time around. (This was the second time I had made the skirt). I wish I had an endless supply of fabric to be able to sew like this whenever my hear desired. xoxoxoxo

Happy Creating!!!!

Day 244 - 2nd prize almost completed

The Reversible Half Apron.

2nd side is polka dots like the ruffle with the pocket in the B & W Silhouette print.  I just need to flip the top sides of the pockets at an angle and add a button. I don't even think I have cute black and white buttons.  Boooo..... maybe I should may a tiny bow ?

This was so much fun.

Day 224 Oliver+S Ice Cream Blouse

This will be the last piece in the set of 3 for Bruce's nieces. :D

This striped fabric is the same that I used to make the flat piping on the Tea Party dress.

I cut out the pieces tonight for the sailboat skirt. It will be made of the dots from both the Ice cream dress and the tea party dress. The pockets will be made out of the same bubblegum pink.

Day 220 & 221 O+S Tea Party Dresses

Friday night I made outfit #2 for my friend Bruce's nieces. This is size 3T. I have one more outfit to go for him. :) The striped piping reminds me of fruit striped bubblegum!
I made another Tea Party dress yesterday with the fabric I got at Ikea with Mr. C. It is also a 3T and will be in my shop soon. :) It reminds me of limeade.

I am sewing again today but I cannot post pictures. So here is a picture of my new love.
Yes I never knew I could be in love with an iron. LOL When you use the steam feature on high it's like getting a facial. Mr. C said it looked like the living room was a dry cleaners.

Where do I begin?

I've made a birthday cake.  Yes, I cut all the shapes from fruit roll-ups.

I made two cupcakes snakes.

I designed a blog for Olga.  I used beach pictures taken by my wonderful teen photographer.

I should.

Okay here they are.  I truly enjoy making these.

Day 217 Gift Bows from Recycled Map

I saw this tutorial on How About Orange and thought it would be perfect for some of the old National Geographic Magazines and Maps that Mr. C has.

These are the first two. I decided to make some matching gift tags. I can't wait to make some more!

Day 216 Gift Boxes

Made two little boxes for the little treasures I picked up at the Crafty Supermarket.

The bottom got better on the second try ;)

Not bad for a first try.

I'm going to try something new.

Renee has inspired me to recycle.

A pair of jeans that son grew out of, two tees that teenager had in Goodwill pile and my black cashmere sweater that has a hole in it.

I cut them into pieces to make a purse.

Day 215 Breakfast & Anime Art Bag

mmmmm coffee

This morning I used the french coffee press (12.99, can be used for coffee or tea) we picked up from Ikea yesterday and made and ham and swiss crepes with breakfast. Mr. C also grabbed an apple we served apples on the side so he could use the new gadget. Which was pretty impressive for 2.99.

I picked up this anime fabric yesterday at Ikea. I had read about it on True Up and instantly thought of my niece. I was quite aggravated when I got home because it was cut off the bolt wrong and I ended up with an incomplete panel. (The top of her head was on the bottom of my panel. I should have been paying attention. Especially since it was sold purchasing it by panel size). Regardless I am really happy with the bag. The bag is about 3'wide x 2'deep

I ended up making her a bag to carry around her art work, art portfolios, art pads, pencils, etc. I'll give it to her when she gives me the rubber stamp drawing she is working on. (hint/hint) ;)

If you look at the top right you can see both elastic and fabric slots to hold pencils, pens, chalks or paint brushes.

LOL I love the Godzilla!
