Cooling in an ice bathThis was a custom request from my nephew :) ....and a CHALLENGE!!! This is the most any one items has ever been baked. I bake between each addition (bolts, wheels, layer of wood, etc.) and cool in an ice bath in between. I hope he likes it.
I am now waiting for the glaze to dry.

It took HOURS!!! I printed lots of pictures of skateboards from his favo brand from all different angles. I had a lot of wheel issues, LOL. I tried endlessly to make one with wheels that could spin but couldn't get it to work. I really felt so accomplished with the detail. The top even is rough like sandpaper and glittery. I can't wait for him to get back from his Dad's after Spring Break so I can give it to him.
